Gleamify Teeth Whitening Pens

Published:September 25th, 2010

Gleamify is a teeth whitening product which has attracted a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons. According to many consumer reports, they are operating a very expensive re-bill scheme, debiting up to £59 a month as part of their “free trial”. You can find out more about other user’s experiences here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2532865

Below is some information about the product:

One of the newest products for teeth whitening are teeth whitening pens. They are said to be easier to use and claim results can be achieved in a very short time. Gleamify Whitening claims to get rid of stained teeth. By applying the teeth whitening gel, all stains are said to be removed. There are three steps towards achieving the perfect smile.

First you have to stick to the routine of brushing your teeth regularly. After you have brushed your teeth, you can apply the gel on your teeth and you only have to leave it there for ninety seconds. The next step is to rinse off the gel from the enamel of your teeth. The result is a bright smile.

The ingredients in Glemify Whitening are carbamide peroxide, hydrogen peroxide and calcium compounds. Gleamify is a simple pen applicator, an at home teeth whitener. Besides whitening your teeth, Gleamify also claim to help in preventing bad breath, tooth decay and ensures an overall oral health.

We haven’t tested Gleamify, but from what we have heard and read online, this seems to be another rebill type scheme / scam. Any teeth whitening product which doesn’t use dentist grade ingredients is not going to provide any lasting results, especially if its just coating your teeth with a pen. So please be careful with this product, and stick to our recommended teeth whitening products.

I have just phoned Gleamify to cancel my subscription, after receiving a free trial. They have given me a reference number for my cancellation and assured me they will not be billing me any further., as I have contacted them withing the 14 days. I await anxiously to see if this is the case!

Could Anne McAteer – who commented on 12 April – please provide the phone number she used to cancel her Gleamify subscription as I can’t find a number anywhere. thanks

Like others I saw the 14 day free trial, not the bit about cost of £53 two weeks later., in the small print. A cost that we like many cannot afford. Have spent the last two hours trying to find a contact number or e-mail with no success. Stay well clear of these lowlifes who want nothing more than to get our money.

Does anyone wanrt to send the heavy mob round to get our sixty squids back! I just cant believe the rotters have done this. My bank has advised me to change my card details, so no further payments can be taken. I reckon i have kissed goodbye to my money now. It puts me off ever doing business on the internet again. I am devestated. Yet another problem to sort out. I detest these con-merchnts.

I am totally disgusted with the service I have received, the attitude of the staff and the length of time it has taken me to get this sorted. Not to my satisfaction I must add. No such a thing as a free trial, £60 out my account. I wounldn’t touch this lot with a barge pole.
My advice is dont go near the robbers.

Do not get caught out by this useless product. You will be charged the original £4.95 as the offer states then £52.99 will disappear from your account. You will then receive another batch of Gleamify & at that point another £57.94 will be withdrawn from your account. The staff attitude is rude & I would never deal with a product like this again. It is total crap. Fortunately a close family friend who is a solicitor is happy to take on my case but please DO NOT GET PURCHASE GLEAMIFY

Just like to say a massive thanks to the Teeth Whitening Kits website and all the people who have left comments regarding the Gleamify Free Trial /MASSIVE SCAM ! You have just saved me over a hundred pound as I was just about to fill out the form for the free trial when I Googled Teeth Whitening and discovered this website and the comments regarding cleamify. I was also going to send for another Free Trial for another product called LUCENT SMILE – this is probably a scam as well. I think the safest and only way to pay for anything on the internet today is by Paypal as they are 100% on your side and your bank details are never given to any company you purchase from and every payment that is made has to be authorised and done by yourself thus stopping any company from taking your money without your consent. If a company doesn,t offer Paypal then it,s probably best to avoid as Paypal now accounts for the majority of payments made on the web and is so widely used that any GENUINE company selling on the internet cannot afford to not offer Papal as a payment option on there website. Big thanks again to all the people who left the comments regarding Cleamify and remember no matter how big and bent companies are on the internet they can be eventually beaten and even brought down by the POWER of the genuine people out there who look out for others and leave feedback/comments regarding the products they try to scam you with. Keep up the good work and remember if you don,t have a Paypal account then consider getting one and using it for all your future purchases on the internet as you won,t every have money taken out of you bank account again without your consent if you do.

I wish I had checked this site before I ordered the “Free Trial”. Not only did I lose £60.00 because I did not advise them within 14 days that I did not want the product, but the payment was taken from my bank within 20 days. To add insult to injury, I was charged a 2nd p&p because they sent the items in 2 packages! The terms and conditions are not clear. This is definitely a Company that sells by blatantly misleading people.
